Hi severus, the sites are indeed known about but the lack of funding prevents any further action being taken.....i am aware of the importance of recording finds etc as i liased with the PAS for 4 years & i also regularly converse with similar bodies world wide regarding my finds....Meso sites are not as rare as you think, they are quite plentyful in the Nene Valley, very much so across the east midlands in general.....its the lack of excavation projects that give the impression they are few & far between....palaeo sites too are quite distant from being rare, the sheer amount of material from both era's is an exceptional amount here....obviously neo is probably the most seen as its everywhere....i do tend to record all relevant data connected with the majority of my finds
