While doing some renovations under my house I came across this stone.

Is it a hand axe, mace, grinding tool, just a rock?

I live in Northern Georgia, USA.  The last native people in the area were the Creek and Cherokee.

Many thanks,

My intent, if it is of interest is  to hunt down and present it to a professor at the local University.
If it is of interest to them, invite them come out on our farm to survey and dig if they should see the want.
Otherwise it'll most likely end up being a paperweight or doorstop.

Thanks for looking,

My first impression is that they look natural formations, maybe broken for some natural or atificial reason but not really tools. But I do have some doubts, specially with the second object.

What kind of stone they are? On first sight they look like sandstone, which is not really good for making tools.

It's different views of the same object.

I've been told that (from another forum) that it is most likely a hoe or other digging tool.
The blade's edge is beveled from use polishing.

I don't know my geology well enough to know what type of stone it is.  I will find out.

Thanks for looking.
