could any one please identify this flower for me.  look forward to hearing from u. its growing wild on the moors, never seen before. look like a butterfly sat inside when u look closely.  thank you.  sharon

Hi Shazza,
I showed this to a friend who is good at identifying plants and he says he has never seen it before!

hi again just thought id write and tell you i found out what the flower was, im sure it right, its called ALSTROEMERIA FLOWER,   like to thank you.

I've just seen a BBC program called Country Tracks which featured this very flower.
it is rare and growns on old lead mines in the Peak District.
They called it Mountain pansy,

Hi pebbletripper,

I don't think it's a mountain pansy. I looked at quite a few pictures and it doesn't seem to match. I really think the first suggestion is correct:  Alstroemeria Flower
