let's start a competition for the coolest thing anyone has found, archaeoligically speaking of course. Mine for the mo' will be a fine flint arrowhead (my first!)lodged in a Public Footpath in an area more noted for Iron Age activity - ie small forts such as Cadbury Camp, Dolebury Warren and our very own local feature the er, 'Banjo' (go on, ask!)
Go on, make me jealous

Mine is a lost monument in the Avebury complex.
The Shelving stones at the back of my garden.
Once verified I will publish photos and full report on http://www.stonehenge-avebury.net (& here).
Windmill hill is at the back of my house and my 10 year old son Kieron has found some beautiful flint knifes, arrow heads and scrapers.
A friend once picked up a gold Torc out of a field in Hampshire (Now in Salisbury museum.
Still searching for the holy grail!

Sorry to make you jealous, Rob.
I have found one unknown megalithic grave (a possible passage grave) later numbered Valtorp sn Raä nr 45.
I have also found the unknown passage for the passage grave Kuhögen (Högstena sn Raä nr 6).
I have also re-found some lost megalithic graves: the "Lagerstorp" passage grave (Kinneved sn Raä nr 53), the "Frälsegården" passage grave (Gökhem sn Raä nr 94:1), and the "Blinningsberg" gallery grave (Falköping [without number]).
Most of this was found during the spring 1997 when I still was an amateur. All these megalithic graves are situated in the Falbygden area in Sweden.
