We have just upgraded our message board software.
Now you can easily post smilies like this one    :D , select personalized message icons for each new message, use the so called instant UBB code to select bold and italics, to insert links, and to make lists.
It is now possible to send messages suggesting friends to have a look at a particular message, and it is now easier receiving a message when you forget your password...
Finally, looking at the lamps on the forum list window, you can tell if someone posted a new message since your last visit. This method requires a cookie to work, and it is absolutely harmless.

Of course, we welcome any comment or suggestion!

I hadn't taken a look at this board for a while, but I think it has really improved. The lamps are really useful, before you could only see from the number of posts (if you remembered how many there were before) if there had been new ones.

Dear Rob,
You are right... We've been forced to momentarily stop sending the newsletter because we've had many serious problems. So, the free time to devote to this website and to the newsletter was near to zero during the last 4 months.

We are currently having a clash with the Italian Ministry of Finance, because it applied a sort of "parameter" to guess our 1996 income. And it came to the conclusion that in that year we earned the equivalent of about 50,000 UKP (or about $73,000) that we didn't state on our tax declaration.
Of course our tax declarations have always been honest and our total (gross) income never ever approached that sum, so we are now facing the danger to pay a fine of about 6,000 UKP (about $9,000) each year from 2001 to 2006. The Ministry decided to apply these "parameters" because it hasn't neither money nor people to make direct controls.

Fortunately, there are other more pleasant reasons that slowed down the upgrading of these pages: Paola is expecting a baby!    :)

Nice message board, Diego. But we must encourage everybody to post more and more replies, sometimes it seems a bit "dead" (no new posts for days and days). Come on, let's talk about ancient stones!
BTW, is there any chance of including a picture in the posts, just as a starting point for new discussions? I think it would be useful, showing the megaliths we have visited and talking about them. It also might be useful when you try to show something to other people, and you have not a complete knowledge of english language (like me, for example). If there is any way to do that, tell me. If not, could you think of it for future improvements?
Last, but not least, congratulations   :D !!! When is the baby expected to come? My best wishes for Paola and you. But...
Will you have time to go on with this page, when the baby is born, with all those napkins, baby's bottles and so on?   ;)
