We have in Portugal many megalitic sites.
As I don't find any references to them, I think it's important to include att least some.

Hello Alexander,
Yes, we know in Portugal there are many beautiful megalithic sites. However, on the Stone Pages website you can find only the sites we have personally visited and photographed. As ours is a no-profit project, we'd really like to have the time (and the money) to visit all the European megalithic sites, but you have to be patient (and maybe you can suggest us some Portoguese sponsor?!)...
In the meantime, we sugest you to visit these websites, devoted to Portuguese ancient sites:

[*]O dolmen de Antelas - Description of the excavation, the structure, the rock paintings (direct dated 3625-3140 BC) and the ritual uses of a magnificent Portuguese dolmen. In Portuguese.
[*]O megalitismo na Beira Alta - Extensive decscription of the megalithic monuments of Beira Alta (Portugal). In Portuguese.
[*]Portogallo. Tracce del passato - An excerpt on megaliths taken from an article on Portuguese archaeology. By Vincenzo Fusco, in Italian.
[/list] If you know any other website you'd like to be listed on our Archaeo Links section, please post it here!

    Thanks and ciao

    Diego
