i was up on Dartmoor on the weekend of 27th-28th March and had a good time photographing your recommended sites apart from Fernworthy for some reason i could not find. but i was able to make up for this with a shoot at Merrival standing stone and the stone ring. the strangest thing happened at Scorhill my wife and i walked from the car park over the hill and started down the other side. a gent was walking up toward us. no sign of the ring in front of us when i was about a quarter of the way down the hill my wife who was further down the hill turned to me a told me the ring must be back up and to the side of the hill pointing to my right. just as she spoke the ring just appeared right behind the old chap walking up the hill. a slight change of light made for the strangest thing i have ever seen. it was almost like the place was transported in to location by a star trek transporter beam the way it suddenly appeared out of nowhere. it left me with an odd sensation for the time i was on that location. if this effect also happened around the time the place was built i can see why it would have been a special place. again thank you for your list of recommended sites it was very helpful.
