My great uncle shipped this home from Europe during WW1,can someone decipher the symbols on the side they do appear similar to stone carvings,scroll down on the link and look at the chest if you could please help.He claimed it was taken from a wall in a bombed out church type museum,said it to be ancient.Here is a link for the chest.I know it is not stone but your opinion would be best for the carving. http://groups.yahoo....ount=20&dir=asc
