Prehistoric Rhythms (or the Dub Antiquarian)

Thursday 7th March, Sheffield City Museum, 7.00-9.00pm.

An audio-visual journey through the prehistoric landscapes of the Peak District to launch the new book on the region's archaeology - 'Prehistory In The Peak' by Mark Edmonds and Tim Seaborne. The authors have teamed up with audio-visual chillout club Sundaze and the University of Sheffield Film Unit to present the event. Projected video of Peak District landscapes & monuments and photographs from the book are combined with music, sound samples and the author's spoken word to follow the ways that different landscapes were inhabited and how the pattern of people's lives helped shape social institutions.

Complimentary wine and cheese will be available. The Museum's prehistoric gallery will also be open specially for the event.

Entry £3.75 (£2.50 concs.) on the door, please come to the Museum entrance.
