Here's something interesting.

The skin must be from a local (Sudanese) animal, but the pattern reminds me somewhat of the scarified landscape around Maen Llia in Wales, (which can be seen in a satellite photo).

Imagining a connection doesn't make one historically real ; but as this is a seer using the skin, his selection would (i imagine) have been a careful one . If the presence of these lines implies to him a magic, and if the tradition is old enough, it is possible (to my mind) that it was carried outward from Africa in the human diaspora and saw modified application in Wales .

Anew,
Lines and littlestones.
Water is quite magical, and I may re-emerge as a hoppit.

From a bucket full of water, buried deep in a rural shire, leapt forth a hoppit.

If I.. as someone who finds lines, was in a similer environment as the man in Your link....how would I describe to a visually based population how specific materials located at precise locations relative to the lines can locally alter the FLOWS that travel along the lines?
He based in such a close to nature setting may have a more captive audience that I will ever have in this almost solid physical setting?

Watch out for the hoppit, He may need some littlestones assistance though to give him enough leverage to overcome the resistance imparted to the hoppit by the depth of water in the bucket .
If You imagine every atom as been magnetic, with polarity and equator, then think of how water will react to a local inv9isable change in magnetic flows.
It's a bit like the chicken and egg....did the meandering river meander due to the ever changing meandering invisable magnetic flows?
And could one by carefull location cause water to locally rise towards the surface if the invisable magnetic currents were induced to rise up due to a none local physical lump of stone been located carefully to enable such?
It would be life or deth in an advancing dessert location, and in such a location I would be listened to.

Kevin
