Hiya.. am new..
Was wondering if anyone has researched the history of Wandlebury iron age hill fort and its now overgrown chalk figures. Wandlebury is about a mile from Cambridge (UK), and sits on a ley line. I have heard a couple of legends about the hill fort, and heard that theres links to the Boudica and the Iceni.

The land is currently preserved, wood lands are kept and visitors are welcome to walk around the area. The chalk figures have been allowed to grow over, so that they werent destroyed.

Does anyone know of any battles or significant events that happened at the hill fort?

Thanks!  :D

Hello there!

I have never been to Cambridgeshire, and know little about the area. A quick dig around online has led me to the following entries,

Cheers

Tim

For info on the chalk figures and the surrounding area you should check out "Gogmagog, The Buried Gods" by T.C. Lethbridge. He excavated the figures, it's a crackin' read.
