8,000 year-old spearheads found in Pennsylvania

Builders working on an industrial estate close to the border between Bedford and Blair Counties, Pennsylvania, USA, have uncovered ancient tools and spearheads.
Melissa Diamanti, the senior principal investigator for Archaeological and Historical Consultants of Centre Hall, said the artefacts found so far show that the area was occupied around 8,000 to 10,500 years ago.
The site, at the Walter Business Park off Interstate 99, will be investigated further at an estimated cost of US$ 200,000.
