Bronze weapons and tools, dating back to the 3rd millennium BCE, were discovered in Pir, Satu Mare County, in northern Romania. Archaeologist Liviu Marta said it was the biggest collection of prehistoric objects discovered in Satu Mare County in the past 30 years. They include two spearheads, 17 battleaxes and three scythes. Eight axes were discovered in the same place a few years ago.
