Sarsen Trail & Neolithic Marathon 2011

Next May 1st, 2011 you can take part to the Sarsen Trail and Neolithic Marathon: a multi-terrain running, walking and mountain biking event, taking you through the Vale of Pewsey, the Avon Valley and then across the beautiful ancient landscape of Salisbury Plain between Avebury & Stonehenge (Wiltshire, England).
Races and distances are available for all the family (even the dog!). Choose from a Full or Half Marathon, a 7, 11, 15 or 26 mile walk and a brand new, 25 mile circular rough terrain bike route. The entry fees range from £12 to £30 (children £6) and contribute to Wiltshire Wildlife Trust conservation work.
The route is fully stewarded with first aid cover and support vehicles. A free coach service is offered for walkers and runners between the starting and finishing points. Regular water and toilet stops with refreshments will be available along the route. Remember the route may be muddy in wet weather and dusty and rutted when dry. Please dress appropriately for the conditions and ensure you are fit enough to take part. Registration is available online.
