Excavation and events at The Hurlers stone circle

For the first time in nearly 80 years archaeologists have the chance to carry out archaeolgical work on the Hurlers Stone Circle at Minions on Bodmin Moor (Cornwall, England). As well as the actual dig there will be plenty of events taking place that the public can get involved in.
Events will start on September 16th, 2013 with an Astronomy workshop and field trips, while excavation itself will start on September 18th. A geophysical survey will be carried out at the site and the works and events will end on September 23rd.
Anyone who wishes to get involved with the actual excavation (no previous experience required) must get in contact with the dig director James Gossip.
